Nice to see so many Delaney's out in the world. Unfortunately most of the family history was lost when my Grandmother past away. The only things that I know outside of my immediate family is about William E. Delaney who is buried in Tombstone Territory,AZ,in the year 1884 and that one of our relatives was accussed of being a horse thief, not sure if that happened in America or Ireland. My father is James Garfield Delaney III, my Grandmother was Ruth K. Delaney. If anyone would be able to help me find out more about my family outside of the US I would much appreciate it thanks.

I happened to look at a map of Ireland hanging in my room and noticed the town Twomileborris. Its similarity to my own name had me intrigued, after already completing a fairly extensive generology of the Kaveney, Finneagan, Flannagan and Kennedy side of my family, so I did alittle online research and found your neat site. Are there any Twomeys in Twomileborris?

Hi Maurice, I just sent an email to you seperately and came back to the site to browse and read the guest book, then I remembered that I had a childhood friend in Southfields, London, UK. He was called Niel Delaney and his folks were Jim and Ann. I guess they are still in London somewhere. The last I heard was that they had moved to Wimbledon. His dad Jim worked in some big IT company like IBM back in the mid to late seventies. Oh yes we all used to go camping alot and on those rambles were you have to race to locate places on a map, get there and stamp your card. I can't remember what it's called?
Well that's another 3 Delaneys for you all.
Email me soon Maurice

I've just realised it was Mum's(Kathleen Delaney's) great grandfather not great great grandfather who arrived in Port Fairy on 15th Jan. 1855. Mum was quite indignant that I didn't get it right the first time as it made her appear much older than her 88 years!!

Hallo
I see you have an ancestor who fought at Astorga in 1810 with the Irish Legion. Do you have any documentation on this siege? It is of interest to me because my ancestor (Lt. Adj. Mj. Perry) was in the Irish Legion to, he won the Legion of Honour for his actions at Astorga. Would you please e-mail me any particulars you have on your ancestor at the siege? Thanks Duncan
